My 74 year old brother was stuck, lost and stranded on a lake he was trying to ice fish. He called me needing help. Took me about 4 hours to get there. He had been on the ice all night. When I spotted him, he was walking towards me. There was someone walking with him. They were about 50 yards away and I could see them clearly. The person with my brother was dressed in warm winter clothing. While I was watching them, no one else was in site for miles to include any vehicles. I watched them walking. They did not appear to be talking and were not in step. At one point they appeared to be side by side. Another moment, they were 10-15 feet apart. When my brother got to my location, his buddy had disappeared. I asked my brother who was with him and he said no one. Whatever it was looked like a real person. Guardian angel??? I had one other experience i had that defies explanation. This happened about 10 years ago. I had arrived at my favorite deer hunting location before sun up. My brother in law, who had been killed in a car accident a few months earlier, appeared in front of me. The sun had come up and at the bottom on the ravine, I watched an adult male walk up the side of the ravine about 75 yards away. I did not see where he came from, but I could clearly see him. He was wearing the same color plad whirt he was buried in. It was a cool morning and he had no jacket, gloves or hat on. Odd for North Dakota. I only later thought about it being my dead brother in law. I shouted at him, but he never turned toward me. I watched him walk up the other side of the ravine and disappear into an isolated bush about 50 feet from the top of the ravine. I did not move and never seen the individual again. In fact, about 45 minutes after I watched the guy go into the bush, I watched 3 doe's walking or standing beside the bush. The weirdest part of this experience is that it never crossed my mind that it could be my brother in law until the next day, when I thought about it. I am now 72 years old, and the only person I have shared these experiences with is my wife, and she was angry. Stating how can I have experiences like that and not her, as she is very religious and I am not. These are the only two unexplained experiences I have had. I am not a nut. I have a College Masters Degree and worked as a law enforcement detective for 15 years. The one and only thing I have gained from these experiences is that I am now certain of life after death. While watching them, it never crossed my mind that they were something other than alive. Something else I realized as an afterthought was, he had been walking around in the ravine for several minutes. Normally, all the deer in that ravine should have bailed out of there with immediate speed. Did not happen. Also, the bush he walked into was about 10 feet across with an approximate 20 foot clearing all the way around it. Had he come out of the bush, I believe I would have spotted him. It was right in front of me and I was deer hunting, alert to any movement. Also, the ravine i was hunting in was owned by my dead brother in law and the two of us had hunted it several times before.
